Description
Two Wednesday Sessions, Sep 2 & 9, 6pm
Create a whimsical home for your garden friends in this fun two-session clay class! Students will learn how to use a clay extruder to create a perfectly shaped cylinder that will form the walls of their toad house. From there, participants will customize their designs by cutting out doors, windows, and other unique architectural features.
During the first session, students will construct their toad houses, adding optional roofs, textures, and decorative details to bring their designs to life. Whether you envision a rustic woodland cottage, a fairy-tale retreat, or a quirky garden hideaway, there will be plenty of opportunities to make your project uniquely your own.
In the second session, students will glaze their bisque-fired toad houses, choosing colors and finishes to complete their creations. Once glaze-fired, these charming ceramic houses will be ready to add character to any garden while providing a cozy shelter for visiting toads.
No prior clay experience is necessary. All materials and firing are included.
All supplies included. Welcome to ages 13 & up.
