Unleash your creativity in this hands-on ceramic art class led by artist Hope Wallace, where nature, folklore, and whimsy come alive in clay. Participants will sculpt and decorate ceramic faces and motifs inspired by the Green Man, sun and moon, woodland creatures like possums, and fantastical floral forms.
This workshop invites you to create:
- Expressive garden faces that reflect natural spirits and emotion
- Mythical inspirations such as the Green Man, a symbol of rebirth and the cycle of nature
- Celestial themes, like the serene moon and radiant sun, to bring balance and contrast
- Flora and fauna, including imaginative takes on flowers and animals (like the possum!)
Using clay and various surface decoration techniques—glazing, texturing, or underglaze washes—you’ll create one-of-a-kind garden art to bring magic and personality to any outdoor space.
Perfect for all skill levels, this class blends myth, nature, and personal expression into outdoor ceramic artwork.
This class is available to those aged 12 & up. Space is limited.
July 24 class is expected to run 2 hours – Aug 7th class is expected to run 1 hour.
