Beginner Acrylic Painting with Lily Good

Join artist Lily Good, whose work is inspired by the beauty of the natural world, for a fun and beginner-friendly acrylic painting class. In this session, Lily will guide you step-by-step in creating a beautiful spider nestled in her web with a magical bokeh background.

This laid-back class is perfect for anyone – whether you’re brand new to painting or just looking for a relaxing, creative evening. While Lily will provide instruction and helpful tips, there will be plenty of room for your own creative freedom and personal touches.

All supplies are included.
Open to ages 6 & up. Please note this class is expected to run about 2 hours, so keep this in mind when registering younger artists.

Rust Dyeing with Beth Wright

Sunday, August 24 @ 1pm

Join us for a hands-on workshop exploring the beautiful, unpredictable art of rust dyeing on both fabric and paper. Using natural oxidation and August’s summer heat, we’ll experiment with several techniques to coax out rich orange and brown toneswith moody gray and black accents—no two results are ever the same!

You’ll learn:

· How to prepare fabric and paper for rust printing

· How to safely use common rust-reactive agents

· Layering techniques for dramatic texture and contrast

· Ways to incorporate your finished pieces into wonderful arty objects, such as padfolios, journals, artist’s books, and collages.

Bring your favorite rusty treasures (gears, nails, keys, springs—anything with character), wear old clothes, and don’t forget an apron. You’ll leave with a collection of beautifully dyed substrates ready to dry, admire, and transform.

A Beginner’s Guide to Oil Painting with Erin Gemmer

Curious about oil painting but not sure where to start? Join local artist Erin Gammer for a relaxed and beginner-friendly 3-session introduction to the world of oil painting!

Perfect for those with little to no experience, this class will cover the fundamentals – from setting up your palette, to understanding color mixing. Erin will also introduce basic color theory to help you make confident choices in your work, along with important safety precautions for working with oil paints and solvents.

Squish & Sculpt with Hope Wallace – Fairy House

Thursday, Aug 28 & Sep 4 @ 6:00PM

Join ceramic artist Hope Wallace for a magical, two-part workshop where you’ll create your own ceramic fairy house—perfect for your garden, patio, or cozy indoor nook. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced clay artist, this class offers a creative, relaxed atmosphere for all skill levels.

Session One: Building & Shaping

Duration: ~2 hours

In the first session, Hope will guide you through the process of designing and building your unique fairy house using hand-building techniques from several pattern choices. Hope will show you how to create your own textures from scratch. Learn how to sculpt whimsical roofs, cut charming windows and doors, and craft chimney stacks or leafy embellishments. These structures are outdoor safe and can hold a votive candle for a magical glow.

Session Two: Glazing & Finishing Touches

Duration: ~1.5–2 hours

After your fairy house has been bisque-fired or if you choose to use the greenware technique, return for the second session to finish your creation. Hope will demonstrate glazing techniques and offer a variety of beautiful, weather-safe glazes to choose from. Add enchanting color, highlight textures, and make your house truly one-of-a-kind.

What You’ll Leave With:

A custom, ceramic fairy house that’s votive-friendly and safe for outdoor display.

A fun and imaginative experience in a supportive, artistic environment.

New skills in hand-building and glazing with clay.

Lil ArtReach

9:30 am – 10:15 am (choose date when you register)

Join us for Lil ArtReach! Young makers ages 5 & under are invited for story time followed by a small craft. Lil ArtReach is geared towards makers 5 & under but big siblings are welcome. Caretaker/s are required to accompany young makers.

ArtReach for Adults

6:30 pm – 7:30 pm (choose date when you register)

Join us for Adult ArtReach! This class is designed to unwind, destress and to have a little bit of fun. Each class will focus on a different medium of art and techniques. We provide all the supplies and do all the cleanup – you simply show up. Zero art experience required and the cash bar will be open.
