Beginner Stained Glass Class with Windyknolls

Join Stacey Trout of Windyknolls Stained Glass for this BEGINNER Stained Glass Class! Create a gorgeous PLANT PROPAGATION STATION in an array of colors! Stacey will cut all of the pieces and teach you the process of foiling and soldering your stained glass – making it ready to take home and enjoy! There is no better way to dip your toe into the amazing world of stained glass. Space is limited – signup NOW! This class is perfect for those who are interested in learning about the stained glass process without investing in all the tools first or just a fun day with friends. All pre-cut glass pieces and materials supplied to make a stained glass project. Complete this project in 2-3 hours. The fine print: *12 and over only (minors must sign waiver upon arrival) *non-refundable, non-transferable due to glass being pre-cut *you will be exposed to sharp glass, lead, and chemicals to speed up the patina process of your finished piece *long pants and closed toe shoes recommended.

Creative Mending & Embellishing

2 Thursdays, Feb 27 & Mar 6, 6pm-8pm

Learn how to creatively mend your clothes with two of the best – Jayne Smith & Penny Wiseman!

Bring Blue jeans, blue jean jacket or whatever you want to mend and/or embellish. Vintage fabrics, embroidery floss, needles, embroidery hoops, patterns will be provided. The embroidery hoops and needles are yours to take home! You are welcome to bring fabric, buttons, etc. to make your piece your own.

Watercolor Lanterns with Hope Wallace

Thursday, Feb 27, 6pm-8pm

Gingham Potholder Class

Not your Grandmother’s Pot Holders…but similar
Pot holder weaving is a nostalgic technique and for some of us it brings back memories of weaving as a child. It is a craft for all ages and skill levels.
Come join Jayne Smith and make a GINGHAM weave potholder – perfect for Spring! Lots of colors of loops will be available for you to choose from. You will receive help designing your pot holder, learn weaving techniques and how to crochet the edges. Fun and easy!!!

Lil ArtReach

Oil Painting with Dr. Trimble

One Thursday of every Month (see drop-down for dates), 6pm

Instructor: Dr. Trimble

Oil Painting with Dr. Trimble is a great class to navigate the medium of oil painting. This class is targeted for beginning and advanced artists. Each class will focus on specific techniques through brief discussions and demonstrations. Participants will learn to use these techniques in real time by producing a painting, not just doing exercises. Each lesson can stand alone or be a part of the whole experience. The level of commitment is entirely up to you and our instructor, Dr. T, will help you every step of the way.

This is an ongoing class, one Thursday a month (dates in drop-down menu), 6pm – class expected to last 2-2.5 hours.

No previous experience required – no supplies needed

Join our Watercolor Techniques class which is an ongoing class that has been running at the Wassenberg Art Center for more than 10 years! Watercolor Techniques is a great class for advanced artists and beginners. Each class will focus on a specific watercolor technique or style through brief discussions and demonstrations. Artists will have work time to practice/experiment with the technique, style or their own art ideas while our instructors will help you along the way.
